What we believe



Romans 3:23
for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,

As it reads in Romans 3:23 and backed by many other verses, we believe that man was born into sin as a son of Adam. And as shown in Ephesians 2:9, he is not saved by his own works or good deeds.

Ephesians 2:8-10
8For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— 9not by works, so that no one can boast. 10For we are God's workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.

As the scriptures read in Ephesians, we believe that we are saved by the Grace of God (Jesus) through faith.
Hebrews 11:6a "But without faith it is impossible to please him:..."

The question then arises “faith in who and what”?

Romans 10:9
That if you confess with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.
1 Corinthians 15:1-4
1Now, brothers, I want to remind you of the gospel (good news) I preached to you, which you received and on which you have taken your stand. 2By this gospel you are saved, if you hold firmly to the word I preached to you. Otherwise, you have believed in vain.
3For what I received (by revelation from Jesus) I passed on to you as of first importance that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, 4that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures,
2 Corinthians 5:17
Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come!

We believe that mankind is saved through faith in who Jesus is (Our Lord, the son of God) and that the work of the cross (His death, shed blood, burial and resurrection) paid the price for all mankind. Mankind only has to believe with his heart and the grace of God will save him and change him into His creation (the person the Lord wants him to be).  We further believe as read in Ephesians 2:10
Above, that as part of our new  creation we are called to serve God as he wills.
Those of us that are part of Belize outreach, know that we are called to missions and to Belize, Central America, in particular.
